After two years without an event, and overcoming the particular context of the health crisis, this year’s Control Messe, the international trade fair for quality assurance, was held in Stuttgart for the 34th time, giving participants the opportunity to meet with customers and partners.

Despite a smaller number of exhibitors than in previous years, visitors were able to discover Kreon’s new product: the Onyx measuring arm, developed and designed with innovative technologies.

Onyx: Kreon’s new measuring arm is packed full of innovations

Among the new products presented at Control Messe, Kreon highlighted the release of its new high-end and precision measuring arm: the Onyx.
Its new architecture and state-of-the-art features place it at the forefront of Kreon’s range of measuring arms.
Lighter, more powerful, more precise, the Onyx arm is equipped with a touch screen (QuickView) for easy control of the measurement process, as well as a removable handle (EasyClip). The latter offers new measurement possibilities for hard-to-reach areas.
The compatibility of the Onyx arm with the Skyline range of scanners enables Kreon to offer a complete, high-performance 3D scanning solution.

Kreon’s wide range of measurement products and solutions on display at Control

In addition to the new Onyx measuring arm, Kreon used its 128 m² stand to display an overview of its other 3D measurement products and solutions.
The diversity of Kreon arms was unmistakeable with the various Ace and Onyx arm models presented for probing and scanning with the high-end Kreon Skyline 3D scanners.
The TrackAce workshop also featured the Ace arm combined with a laser tracker, for measuring very large parts.
The Zephyr III scanner was presented on the CMR solution, a robotic inspection solution that scans and probes without a tracker or targets, using the Metrolog X4 i-Robot software (robot: Stäubli TX2 90 XL).
The versatility of Kreon Zephyr III scanners also meant that it could be integrated on Wenzel CMMs with Polyworks inspection software, and on Erowa CMMs with Metrolog X4 software.
Kreon was also present on the partner stands.
It was therefore possible to observe the Zephyr III scanner on CMR solution on the DW Fritz Automation stand, or the Ace arm with Skyline scanner on the Metrologic stand.

We would like to thank all the partners and visitors who came to meet us on the stand and who shared their expectations and remarks. It is thanks to them that we can improve to always offer solutions optimally adapted to everyone’s needs.
