Kreon was pleased to attend Control, the International trade fair for quality assurance. For this 31st edition Kreon extended its booth with a 100 m² exhibiting space, where its different product ranges were shown.
Kreon took advantage of the exhibition to introduce for the first time two new solutions, by bringing innovation both to measuring arms and CMMs. Visitors also had demonstrations of the latest launched products, Ace Skyline scanning arm and AirTrack robot inline automated solution.
Kreon 3D scanners work now on CNC CMMs with PolyWorks
Now Kreon extends CNC CMMs compatible software list for its scanners range. Kreon 3D scanners were so far working with some market available software. Now Kreon 3D scanners range is compatible with Polyworks on CNC CMMs. Indeed, a contact and non-contact automated measurement solution has been specifically developed for PolyWorks. It allows to use Kreon scanners with PolyWorks on all CMMs equipped with Pantec controllers.
From now Kreon customers will be able to use Polyworks with portable measuring arms as well as manual machines and CNC CMMs equipped with Pantec.
These developments meet the customers’ requests. They enable to satisfy users’ preferences and habits. This new product will be previewed at Kreon booth during Control exhibition: Polyworks driving Zephyr II Blue on a Mora machine and a Pantec controller.
Kreon and API introduce a new solution for large parts’ measurements
This new product now makes it possible to use a Kreon Ace arm to measure (scanning and probing measurements) large parts (range: up to 80 meters) according to a metrological accuracy. It joins the assets of the API and Kreon technologies: the long range and precision of the Radian API laser tracker; versatility, flexibility and accuracy of the Kreon Ace measuring arm.
The overall precision of the solution results first from the volumetric accuracy of the arm during local measurements, and then from the overall laser tracker alignement precision.
The measuring arm is placed on a tripod and moves all around the part in order to measure the whole part from several measurement stages.
