KREON is breaking new ground with the launch of the Zephyr III, a new 3D scanner designed mainly for CMM applications.

Presented at a soft launch during the Control Fair held in Stuttgart from 7 to 10 May this year, the Zephyr III rounds off the current KREON Zephyr range, opening it up to a new generation of CMM scanners based on more than 25 years of experience in industrial metrology. Irrespective of the industrial sector or the application concerned, the Zephyr III scans all kinds of parts in record time without impacting the precision of the mesh or point cloud obtained.

A laser line width of 150 mm unique on CMMs

A 3D scanner geared to productivity

The Zephyr III is a top-of-the-range 3D scanner able to scan extremely complex parts at a high acquisition speed of 600,000 pts/sec. Its broad laser line of 150 mm, unique on CMMs, brings a significant increase in productivity, especially with large parts. Its blue laser consistently delivers optimum measuring quality, even on black or glossy parts that are considered difficult.

A 3D scanner ready for automation

Combined with CMMs, the Zephyr III is a real plus for inspection automation. Compact and compatible with multi-orientation PH10 heads, its great freedom of movement allows it to scan parts with complex geometries. Thanks to the ability to attach a probe directly underneath the scanner, the Zephyr III can scan and probe simultaneously in the same measuring range.

A multipurpose 3D scanner

With unequalled flexibility of use, the Zephyr III is the 3D solution of choice for numerous machines. Apart from CMMs, it can interface with optical trackers, machine tools, robots, or even with KREON measuring arms. Reliable and robust, it can be used in any environment.

The Zephyr III will be available for delivery from mid-September onwards.
