Messier Bugatti Dowty

(SAFRAN group)

World leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, Messier Bugatti Dowty works with Kreon Zephyr and Zephyr II scanners to inspect landing gear parts.

At Bidos (Oloron Sainte Marie, France) and Queretaro (Mexico) plants, Kreon scanners are used to control main parts (for ex. truck beams) of the landing gear. The Kreon scanners are interfaced with measuring arms, allowing the inspection in a workshop, but also with driven CMMs, for automatic measurement.

Dassault aviation

Dassault Aviation is one of the major companies in the worldwide aerospace industry.

Dassault company uses Kreon scanners on several sites to control areas outside and inside the fuselage of military aircrafts or business jets (Falcon). Kreon scanners with measurement arms and software help in product development. In addition they are used for quality control of complete assemblies, due to the extremely high accuracy.

Airbus

By using Kreon Technologies and Dufieux Industries (manufacturer of special machines for the aeronautics industries) Airbus company has set up self-adaptive machining systems in production.

The final goal was to machine the massive sheet metal parts of the Airbus A380 fuselage. The sheet metal parts may be deformed during the process so it is necessary to measure the distortion in order to correct the machining toolpath in real time.
Due to the integration of the Kreon technology directly inside the machine, it becomes possible to drive the whole system by a programmable logic controller.
